If you’ve found time to hold a Café in the last couple of months, we’d love to hear about it. Send us a report and we’ll put it up on your school page. The team at St Thomas More’s School, Bedford, did just that - I hope you enjoy hearing about their Cafe on the Large Hadron Collider and I am sure you’ll be able to identify with the “frenzy at the refreshments table”!
Looking in the window of a card shop at the moment you’d think Mother’s Day and St Patrick’s Day were the only important dates in March. They’re forgetting that the month also includes National Science and Engineering Week. This year the fun happens 12-21 March and there’s a whole range of events going on around the country. If you want to get involved it could be the ideal time to organise a Café Sci event in your school. Why not get in touch with your local STEM Ambassador contract holder and ask if they have any speakers available that week?
I’m off to design a range of Happy Science Day cards (I’m thinking bear holding test tubes instead of flowers) but I’m always available if you need any help organising your cafes. Just drop me an email.
Best Wishes , Sarah-Jane
